Everything went according to plan when second rankedOostende (22-7) outleveled at home 7th ranked Kangoeroes (17-12) 94-66 on Friday. Oostende made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mechelen 's players. Finnish guard Andre Gustavson (197-1999, college: Richmond, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and Danish-Israeli point guard Noam Yaacov (186-2004) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Leander Dedroog (199-1999) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Swedish forward Zaba Bangala (201-2001) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending Belgian champion maintains second place with 22-7 record behind leader Antwerp. Loser Kangoeroes keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
